The website is a treasure trove of diverse topics that Commander Varner found of interest. Interestingly, most enlisted staff wore khaki shorts and T-shirts as a working uniform. I remember how non-regulation we were in 1955. I frequently stowed my regulation Navy oxfords in favor of more comfortable black loafers.
